Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), more than 10 lakh houses have been approved in Madhya Pradesh. The state has achieved first position in the country in grounding and more than 9 lakh beneficiaries have got permanent houses.

Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the Madhya Pradesh government is continuously working with the aim of providing permanent houses to every needy family. Due to the effective implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), the state has achieved remarkable achievements at the national level. He said that till now more than 10 lakh houses have been sanctioned in the state. With this, Madhya Pradesh has strengthened its identity among the leading states of the country in terms of housing construction and providing houses to the beneficiaries.

Madhya Pradesh first in the country in grounding of houses

Urban Development and Housing Department Commissioner Sanket Bhondve informed that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), Madhya Pradesh has secured the first position in the country in grounding of houses. Grounding of 98.04 percent houses in the state has been completed. He said that this achievement is the result of effective monitoring, timely functioning and better implementation of schemes.

More than 9 lakh beneficiaries have got permanent houses

According to the department, construction of more than 9 lakh houses in the state has been completed and handed over to the eligible beneficiaries. Through the scheme, the dream of thousands of families to have their own permanent house has been fulfilled. Due to this, positive changes have been seen in the standard of living, social security and respect of the people.

Financially weak families are getting benefits

The objective of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) is to provide safe and dignified housing to families belonging to economically weaker section, low income group and middle income group. Under the scheme, eligible beneficiaries are given financial assistance for construction of houses, so that they can live in a permanent house with all basic facilities.

Infrastructure and employment also got a boost

Sanket Bhondve said that through the scheme, not only housing construction but also the development of infrastructure facilities and employment generation in urban areas has gained momentum. He said that this scheme is also playing an important role in empowering socially and economically weaker families.

Special attention is being paid by the state government to continuous monitoring of the scheme and timely construction works.
