Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit recently appeared on the quiz reality show “Kaun Banega Crorepati 18,” where she reminisced about her mother during a conversation with host Amitabh Bachchan.
Madhuri credited her mother’s significant role in shaping her artistic talent, particularly in dance. She even compared her mother’s strong character to that of Amitabh Bachchan’s late mother, Teji Bachchan.
During the discussion, Bachchan asked Madhuri about the lessons she learned from her mother. He inquired, “Madhuri ji, do you believe that you have learned a lot from your mother, or gained something that still stays with you?”
Madhuri responded, “My mother was my strength. Most of what I know about art, dance, and performance came from her. Just as your mother was strong, mine was equally resilient. When I entered the at a young age, negative comments affected me deeply. There were times I would return home upset by what people said. During those moments, my mother would advise me not to be weak and to ignore the negativity. She encouraged me to focus on my work and to do it sincerely. What seems negative to others can turn positive after achieving success.”
Additionally, during the show, Amitabh Bachchan invited Madhuri to dance and requested a song for her. As the famous tune “Kahe Chhed Chhed Mohe” began to play, Madhuri effortlessly started dancing in her seat, captivating the audience with her graceful expressions and movements.
Bachchan watched her performance intently and praised her talent, applauding enthusiastically. After her dance, he exclaimed, “Wow! Incredible, Madhuri.” His compliments brought a smile to her face.
Madhuri is set to host the Marathi version of “Kaun Banega Crorepati,” titled “Kon Honar Crorepati,” marking her return to the quiz reality show format as a host.
