Recently, the actor organized a special private screening of the rough cut of the film, which was attended by many big names from the Hindi film industry. This film is said to be based on the background of India-China Galwan Valley conflict and earlier its name was ‘Battle of Galwan’.
Salman Khan organized a special screening
Salman Khan held a private screening of the rough cut of his film ‘Mathrubhoomi: May War Rest in Peace’, in which many big directors and actors of Bollywood attended. On this special occasion, names like Sooraj Barjatya, David Dhawan, Kabir Khan, Rumi Jaffrey, Riteish Deshmukh, Chitrangada Singh, Siddharth Roy Kapoor and Apoorva Lakhia were seen. In the group photo surfaced on social media, Salman Khan was seen in a black outfit, while Chitrangada Singh was seen in a white dress.
Subhash Ghai called the film ‘positive’
Filmmaker Subhash Ghai, while sharing the picture of the screening, has reviewed the film and has written, “It was a beautiful experience to see my favorite directors together at Food Square today. We saw the rough cut of Apoorva Lakhia’s film ‘Matrubhoomi’, in which Salman Khan and Chitrangada Singh are in the lead roles. This is a very emotional story based on the feelings of soldiers of India and China, their families and the theme of mutual peace and respect.” He further wrote, “Salman, thank you for inviting us. We wish this positive film great success.”

New name changed from ‘Battle of Galwan’
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, this film was initially titled ‘Battle of Galwan’. Later the makers changed its name to ‘Mathrubhoomi: May War Rest in Peace’. The film is based on the backdrop of the Galwan Valley clash between India and China in 2020. It is believed that the film will not only show the war but also the emotions of the soldiers and the emotional story of the families.
Old superhit directors reunited with Salman
Many directors present at the screening have already given blockbuster films with Salman Khan.
