Maa Inti Bangaram 2: Sequel Officially Announced For Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Blockbuster

Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Maa Inti Bangaaram, directed by Nandini Reddy, has won massive appreciation for its story and the actress’ powerful performance. Following its positive response, the team held a grand success meet in Vizag, where fans gathered in large numbers. During the event, writer and Samantha’s husband Raj Nidimoru surprised fans by announcing that a sequel is in the works. The film beat several box office records of women-led films to grab the top spot. Directed by Nandini Reddy also features Gulshan Devaiah, Sreemukhi and Diganth Manchale in key roles.

The surprise of the event came when writer Raj Nidimoru, who is also Samantha’s husband, confirmed that  will return with a sequel. He initially asked the audience whether they would like a continuation, receiving an enthusiastic response, after which he made the official announcement. “I already have an idea in my mind. The same team will work on it. For the first time, I am inspired to make another part. It will have double the fun and double the excitement. I will come back and tell you more about it later,” he said.

At the success meet, Raj Nidimoru also spoke on the film’s impact, stating that it has brought him greater appreciation than some of his earlier blockbuster projects like Stree and The Family Man, saying it ‘hit home’. Produced under the Tra La La Pictures banner by Samantha, Raj Nidimoru, and Himanshu, the film marks Samantha’s return to the big screen after a long gap.

Set in the 1980s backdrop, the film follows Swarna, played by Samantha, who marries a doctor against his family’s wishes. While initially facing rejection, she gradually wins over the household with her ways. However, her past soon resurfaces, bringing unexpected challenges. The film has particularly worked with women audiences, who have turned up in large numbers to watch Samantha Ruth Prabhu on screen in a powerful role. Maa Inti Bangaaram has opened to strong reviews, with Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s performance receiving appreciation. In its first week, the film collected around Rs 35 crore domestically and crossed Rs 50 crore worldwide.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently announced pregnancy and said she would be taking a maternity break. Samantha Ruth Prabhu married Raj Nidimoru at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore in December. The couple recently collaborated on Maa Inti Bangaaram, created by Raj, and have also worked together on projects such as The Family Man Season 2, Citadel: Honey Bunny, and Subham.
