In Lucknow, BJP leader and former minister Nanak Ram Bhurji (68) died after falling from the 7th floor. According to the police, he was suffering from severe depression and the case is being investigated from this angle.

Lucknow: Former Uttar Pradesh minister and BJP leader Nanak Ram Bhurji (68) died after falling from a building. This accident happened on Tuesday afternoon at ‘Darul Shafa’ New MLA Residence Complex in Hazratganj, Lucknow. It is being told that he had fallen down from the seventh floor of the building. Nanak Ram Bhurjee was also the UP state secretary of BJP OBC Morcha.

The police post had received information that a person had fallen from the building behind the MLA Residence Complex. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and took Nanak Ram to the hospital. He was rushed to the hospital at around 2:35 pm, but by then he had died. Doctors declared him dead. After this, the body was sent to the mortuary for postmortem.

Police have said in their initial investigation that Nanak Ram Bhurji was suffering from severe depression for some time and was also undergoing treatment. Police also said that he was often seen roaming around the MLA quarters.

How did the former minister reach there where no room was found?

Officials say that there was no room allotted in his name in the building from where Nanak Ram fell. How and why he reached there, the matter is being investigated from all these angles. Police have started scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed around the incident spot so that the reason behind the incident can be clarified. Detailed investigation is going on in the matter.
