LSG won the toss and elected to field against bottom-placed Kolkata Knight Riders, with the left-arm pacer picking up the first five wickets to fall to have the best figures for an Indian left armer in the tournament’s history.
Mohsin bettered the record of Jaydev Unadkat (5/25) for Royal Challengers Bengaluru against Delhi Daredevils.
Mohsin began his carnage with the wicket of Tim Seifert (0) in his first over (LSG’s second). The 27-year-old then sent back KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane (10) in his second over (LSG’s fourth).

Rovan Powell fell to Mohsin in LSG’s seventh over and then he struck again in the 11th over when he scalped Cameron Green (34) and in the next ball dismissed Anukul Roy (0).
His breakthroughs left KKR reeling at 93 for seven by the 15th over after managing only 31 runs in the manadatory first six overs of powerplay.
Mohsin became only the third time that an LSG bowler climed a fifer in an IPL match after Mark Wood and Yash Thakur and the first such instance at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
