Bhooth Bangla Box Office Collection Day 10: Akshay Kumar’s Horror Comedy Sees Growth, Earns Rs 12.50 Crore

Bhooth Bangla box office report day 10: Akshay Kumar reunited with director Priyadarshan for a film after more than a decade. The film, produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and Cape of Good Films, hit the silver screen on April 17. On the other hand, its paid previews happened on April 16, starting at 9 pm. The horror comedy earned Rs 3.75 crore in its paid previews, followed by an opening collection of Rs 12.25 crore. Within nine days of its theatrical run, Akshay, Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav’s movie crossed the  at the box office.

According to early estimates by Sacnilk,   earned Rs 12.50 crore on day 10 at the box office in India. Considering it, the film’s total collection stands at Rs 113.40 crore. Although the film opened to mixed reviews, it has maintained a good pace at the ticket window.

After an opening of Rs 12.25 crore, the film collected Rs 19 crore on day two, followed by Rs 23 crore on day three and Rs 6.75 crore on day four. On day five, the horror comedy minted Rs 8 crore, and Rs 6.15 crore on day six. Later, on day seven, the movie managed to earn Rs 5.50 crore, and Rs 5.75 on day eight. On day nine, the movie witnessed a solid jump, earning Rs 10.75 crore at the box office.

Priyadarshan on how late Asrani shot for Bhooth Bangla amid pain

Earlier, in an interview with India Today, director Priyadarshan revealed how late Asrani shot his film Bhooth Bangla despite physical pain. The filmmaker recalled the late actor promising him that he would return to shoot even after he suffered an injury. Since he couldn’t walk, the actor was given chair in between the shots. “But the moment you said action, he was a different man, performing so well, with no signs of pain or discomfort,” he said.

Meanwhile, Bhooth Bangla will premiere on Netflix after its theatrical run ends. A movie generally lands on streaming after 45 to 60 days of release. That said, the makers of Akshay’s horror comedy haven’t announced its official OTT release date. Apart from Akshay, Paresh and Rajpal, the star cast of the movie includes Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, Mithila Palkar, Manoj Joshi, late Asrani, Zakir Hussain, Rajesh Sharma, and others.
