The picture of change of power in West Bengal after about 15 years was formed because many factors together went in favor of BJP. The long-running anti-incumbency wave created a desire for change among the people, while the removal of suspicious names from the voter list and heavy turnout changed the equations. Especially young voters played a decisive role this time and voted in favor of BJP in large numbers. People voted freely in a relatively violence-free environment due to the deployment of central forces. BJP learned from its mistakes of 2021 and made a strong strategy at the grassroots level, while Amit Shah’s continuous activism and keeping an eye on every small and big incident strengthened the organization. Apart from this, the resentment of government employees also became a major reason for the change of power, which decisively affected the election result.
