After the slogan Batenge to Katenge came into the limelight, Yogi Adityanath’s duty is being imposed heavily in Muslim dominated areas. Yogi is holding rallies in 4-4 Muslim dominated assembly seats in a day. In the last one week, Yogi’s rallies have already been held on 10 seats in Maharashtra and Jharkhand. The interesting thing is that in all these rallies, Yogi is limiting his speech only to the slogan of Batenge to Katenge.
It is being said that BJP is trying to polarize these Muslim dominated areas through Yogi’s rally, so that the fight becomes face to face.
Litmus test of the slogan ‘Batenge to Katenge’
Through Yogi’s rally in a Muslim dominated area, BJP is also trying to do a litmus test of the Batenge to Katenge slogan. If it is successful in the elections of both the states, then it is being said that it can be given more color in the coming times.
For the first time in August 2024, Yogi Adityanath had given the slogan of Batenge to Katenge. In fact, in the Lok Sabha elections, caste polarization in the Hindi belt made BJP lag behind in majority, after which the party is moving forward on the slogan of Batenge to Katenge.
CM Yogi held rallies on these 10 seats
Achalpur- Yogi Adityanath held a rally in Achalpur, Maharashtra on 12 November. Here Prahar Janshakti Party’s Bachchu Kadu, BJP’s Praveen Tayde and Congress’s Anirudh Deshmukh are in the fray. About 19 percent of the population in Achalpur is Muslims. 17 percent people of Dalit community live here. In Achalpur, 6.13 percent voters belong to ST community.
Akola West- Yogi Adityanath has also held a rally in favor of the BJP candidate here. Vijay Aggarwal from BJP and Sajid Khan from Congress are in the fray. The population of Muslims in Akol West assembly seat is 41.6 percent. Here Dalits are 10 percent and tribals are 3 percent. BJP has been continuously winning Akola West seat.
Nagpur Central- Yogi Adityanath has also held a rally in Nagpur Central Assembly seat of Vidarbha. Here Bunty Shalke is in the fray on the Congress symbol and Praveen Dutke is in the fray on the BJP symbol. The population of Muslims in Nagpur Central is about 22 percent. Here Dalit voters are 9 and tribal voters are around 20 percent.
Nagpur West- Along with Nagpur Central, Yogi has also held a rally in Nagpur West. Vikas Thackeray is contesting elections from here on the Congress symbol. BJP has given ticket to Sudhakar Kohle. The population of Muslims in Nagpur West is about 12 percent. Here the number of Dalit voters is 20 and tribal voters are around 8 percent.
Bhavnathpur- Yogi has held a rally in Bhavnathpur, Jharkhand. From here, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha tickets are available at Anant Dev Maidan. Bhanu Pratap Shahi is contesting the elections on the BJP symbol. The number of Muslim voters in Bhavnathpur is 14 percent. Tribal people here are also about 14 percent.
Hussainabad- Yogi Adityanath has also held a rally in Dalit-Muslim dominated Hussainabad. Kamlesh Singh is in the fray on the BJP symbol in Hussainabad. RJD has fielded Sanjay Yadav from here. The population of Muslim voters in Hussainabad is about 14 percent. Dalits here are around 22 percent.
Panki- Yogi Adityanath has also held a rally in Panki of Palamu district. There are about 16 percent Muslim voters here. BJP is contesting against Congress in Panki. BJP has fielded Shashibhushan Mehta from here. Lal Suraj is in the fray on Congress ticket.
Rally in Latehar, Koderma and Barkagaon also
Apart from these 7 seats, Yogi Adityanath has also held rallies in Barkagaon, Koderma and Latehar of Jharkhand. In Latehar, which is reserved for Dalits, the population of Muslims is about 12 percent. Whereas in Koderma the population of Muslim voters is about 16 percent. Similarly, there are 15 percent Muslims in Barkagaon.
Latehar and Barkagaon are currently under the control of Congress. BJP had won in Koderma in 2019. This time BJP is trying to win all the three seats.
