Yogini Ekadashi 2026: Today Yogini Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha of Ashadha month is being celebrated. In the scriptures, the fast of Yogni Ekadashi is considered very special and fruitful. According to religious beliefs, by observing fast and worshiping on this day, a person gets freedom from sins. Also, by the grace of Lord Vishnu, happiness and prosperity comes in life. This fast gives virtue equivalent to feeding 88 thousand Brahmins.

According to astrology and Vastu Shastra, lighting lamps at some special places in the house on the day of Yogini Ekadashi is considered very auspicious. If you also want blessings to remain in your house, then light lamps at five places in the house today.

Basil plant: It is said in the scriptures that Tulsi is the form of Goddess Lakshmi. Lighting a ghee lamp near Tulsi on the day of Yogini Ekadashi brings happiness, peace and good fortune in the house.

At the main entrance of the house: On the day of Yogini Ekadashi, make sure to light a ghee lamp at the main entrance of the house. By doing this, negative energy remains away from the house and the circulation of positive energy increases.

In the home temple: Light an Akhand Jyoti or ghee lamp in the home temple today. By doing this the Gods and Goddesses are pleased and provide blessings, due to which a positive atmosphere is maintained in the house.

Near Peepal tree: On the day of Ekadashi, light a lamp near the Peepal tree also. Lighting a lamp near Peepal tree on this day provides relief from obstacles like Shani Dosh and Pitra Dosh, due to which the pending work starts getting completed.

In the kitchen: The kitchen is considered the most sacred place in the house. Mother Annapurna resides here. Light a lamp in the kitchen on the day of Ekadashi. Due to this there is never any shortage of money and grains in the house.
