Akhil Akkineni’s Lenin continued its steady run at the box office as it completed its second weekend in theatres.
The action drama witnessed another rise in collections on Sunday after maintaining stable momentum on Saturday.
According to estimates by Sacnilk, Lenin collected Rs 3.22 crore net in India on its tenth day. This marked a 34.2 per cent increase compared with its Day 9 collection of Rs 2.40 crore.
The film’s total India net collection has now reached Rs 43.92 crore, while its domestic gross stands at Rs 50.40 crore.
On Day 10, the film recorded its business from 1,865 shows across the country. It had ended its first week with Rs 36.65 crore net in India.
The positive second-weekend performance has helped the film move closer to the Rs 45 crore net mark at the domestic box office.
In overseas markets, Lenin has earned Rs 10.20 crore so far. With this, the film’s worldwide gross collection has climbed to Rs 60.60 crore.
The film recorded an overall Telugu occupancy of 35.60 per cent on its tenth day.
Morning shows registered 26.31 per cent occupancy, while afternoon shows recorded the highest turnout at 46.77 per cent. Evening shows followed with 43.46 per cent occupancy, while night shows registered 24.08 per cent.
Set in a fictional village in Andhra Pradesh’s Chittoor district, Lenin follows the story of an orphan raised by village head Jayyamma.
As he grows older, he falls in love with Bharathi, but the story gradually moves beyond a simple village romance.
Set against the backdrop of the Bharatham Mitta festival, the narrative develops into a tale of betrayal, revenge and hidden motives.
Inspired by the Mahabharata, the film combines action, drama and emotional conflict, with Akhil Akkineni playing the lead role.
