Leaders who left JMM once again flopped, everyone from Sita to Babulal Soren got defeated.

Many rebel leaders of JMM had to face defeat in Jharkhand Assembly Elections-2024. This includes everyone from Sita Soren to Babu Lal Soren. There are a total of 4 leaders among those who faced defeat. It has cost these leaders a lot to resign from JMM before the elections.

Babulal Soren- He is the son of former CM Champai Soren. BJP had made him its candidate from Ghatshila seat. He had to face defeat at the hands of JMM’s Ramdas Soren. Babulal got 75 thousand 910 votes while Ramdas got 98 thousand 356 votes. That means Babulal had to face defeat by more than 20 thousand votes.

Sita Soren- CM Hemant Soren’s sister-in-law Sita Soren had to face defeat at the hands of Irfan Ansari of Congress on Jamtara seat. Irfan Ansari got 1 lakh 33 thousand 266 votes while Sita Soren got 89 thousand 590 votes.

Surya Mandal- He once used to be the right hand man of Shibu Soren. He was looking at his political future in BJP, but could not do anything.

Lobin Hemberm- Lobin had joined BJP from JMM. The party had given him the ticket from Borio. But he did not live up to the expectations. He was defeated by JMM’s Dhananjay Soren. Lobin got 78 thousand 044 votes while Dhananjay got 97 thousand 317 votes.

Soren will become CM for the second consecutive time

The ruling coalition led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren came to power in Jharkhand for the second consecutive time by winning 56 seats in the 81-member assembly. At the same time, NDA, which tried its best during the election campaign, could get only 24 seats. In the assembly elections, JMM and Congress captured 27 seats in the tribal belt, while BJP managed to register victory only in Seraikela, where it had fielded former Chief Minister Champai Soren.

Champai left JMM and joined BJP before the assembly elections. He had accused the Hemant Soren led party of insulting him. In the recent assembly elections, 20 seats in the tribal belt went to JMM alone. According to political analysts, apart from populist schemes, the party benefited from the wave of sympathy generated by raising the issue of alleged injustice against Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

At the same time, JMM’s ally Congress was victorious on seven seats. Whereas, in the 2014 assembly elections, the party had failed to even open an account in the tribal belt. At the same time, it had captured six seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
