Samsung will launch new foldable phones on July 22. A Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Flip 8, and an Ultra model are expected. Pre-reservation has started in India for these phones with better features.
Samsung The wait for the next generation of foldable smartphones is about to end in just a few days. According to reports, the company will present its new foldable phone at the Galaxy Unpacked event to be held in London on July 22. This event will start at 6:30 pm Indian time and can be watched live on Samsung’s official website, newsroom and YouTube channel.
Leaks and official teasers suggest that apart from Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8, the company can also launch Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra model for the first time. However, Samsung has not yet made any official confirmation regarding this.
According to reports, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra can get a better display than previous models, technology that shows less creases (folding marks) on the screen, thinner and lighter design, better camera system and faster charging support. It is also rumored to have multitasking features based on Galaxy AI specific to the larger foldable screen.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 is said to retain the clamshell design of the previous model, but will have some major upgrades. According to reports, it may have a 4.1-inch OLED cover display, 6.9-inch OLED main screen, 50-megapixel main camera, 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera and 10-megapixel selfie camera. It is expected to have 12GB RAM, 256GB storage and 4,300mAh battery. Many reports have also come out regarding the price. It is believed that the starting price of Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra can be around Rs 1,99,990, Galaxy Z Fold 8 can be Rs 1,74,999 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 can be Rs 1,19,999. However, these prices are also not official.
Meanwhile, Samsung has started pre-reservation for its new foldable phones in India. Customers can pre-reserve from Samsung’s official website, Samsung Exclusive Stores, Amazon, Flipkart and other authorized retail outlets by paying a refundable token amount of Rs 999. The company has said that those making pre-reservation will also get benefits up to Rs 2,799.
