‘Shop of love’ became ‘house of betrayal’: KTR

Hyderabad (Telangana) [भारत]July 18 (ANI): BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) has launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He accused the Congress government in Telangana of betraying the aspirations of the youth of the state by not fulfilling its election promises. Addressing the massive ‘Yuvajan Sangram Sadasu’ at the Saroornagar Stadium, KTR said, “Since you do not know Telugu, you do not understand the pain of the youth of Telangana. That is why I am speaking to you in the language you understand.” Taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi’s “love shop” slogan, KTR commented, “You talked about love shop, but for the youth of Telangana it has become a house of betrayal.”

What happened to jobs and unemployment benefits?

KTR questioned Rahul Gandhi on the promises made at a tea shop in Ashok Nagar before the Telangana Assembly elections. He asked what happened to the Congress’s promises of 2 lakh government jobs, a job calendar, Rs 4,000 unemployment allowance, scooters for women and Rs 10 lakh interest-free loan for youth.

Alleging that the Congress government has completely failed the unemployed youth of Telangana, KTR said that while lakhs of job aspirants are waiting for recruitment notifications, the government is engaged in “lootification” instead of releasing job notifications. Reminding that the Congress had released its youth manifesto from the same venue three years ago, KTR said the youth of Telangana have now seen through the false promises of the Congress and they are ready to write the party’s “death declaration” from the same venue.
