Kriti Sanon’s Raksha Bandhan Ad Sparks Backlash; Internet Divided Over Outfit And Pet Dog Rakhi

Kriti Sanon’s latest Raksha Bandhan advertisement has sparked a debate online, with social media users split over the actress’ traditional festive look and a scene in which she ties a rakhi to her pet dog. The jewellery campaign, which celebrates changing ideas of family and companionship, has drawn both criticism and support from viewers.

Why Is Kriti Sanon Facing Backlash?

Kriti Sanon recently appeared in a jewellery brand’s Raksha Bandhan campaign, where she is seen celebrating the festival with her brother and tying a rakhi to him.

During the celebration, Kriti is seen wearing a deep V-neck blouse, with some social media users questioning whether such an outfit was appropriate for a traditional family occasion involving a brother and sister.

The advertisement then takes the celebration a step further, with Kriti also tying a rakhi to her pet dog and treating the animal as a beloved member of the family. Although the idea appears to centre on the emotional bond between people and their pets, some viewers felt the presentation gave the dog more prominence than the brother, and hurts religious sentiments.

Social Media Reactions To Kriti Sanon’s Ad

The advertisement quickly sparked a heated discussion online, with users divided over both the concept and Kriti’s appearance.

One troll questioned the actress’ outfit, saying, “First in my bloodline to see a woman tie Rakhi to his Brother while wearing a bra!! Which Sister will wear a dress with huge Cleavage visible while celebrating Rakhi in her family??”

Responding to the comment, another user wrote, “It’s not a bra idiot, stop doing faltu trolling just for engagement, and bring the spirit of Rakhi and bond of brother and sister in the name of defence.”

One user went on to say, “Kuttapremi are mentally unhinged. It’s like a virus that’s spreading among people these folks need a vaccine.”

Another person came to Kriti’s defence, writing, “Awww offendians got offended?Spirit of Rakhi is not in outfits but in mindset, for me this outfit is completely ok but people who got rotten minds will find problem in this, the day they got to know the real outfits of what gods and goddesses used to wear these people will d1£.”
