In a heartwarming gesture of gratitude and respect, former students of the Government Senior Primary School in Masab Hanchinal village of Kukunuru taluk presented a new motorcycle worth ₹1.25 lakh to their retired teacher, GM Nadaf, during a special Guruvandana programme. Nadaf, who retired after serving as the school’s physical education teacher for 31 years, was deeply moved by the surprise gift and the overwhelming affection shown by his former students, making the occasion an emotional celebration of the enduring bond between a teacher and his pupils.
Emotional Farewell for Beloved Teacher
Nadaf served as the physical education teacher at the Government Senior Primary School from 1995 until his retirement, dedicating more than three decades to educating and mentoring generations of students.
To honour his contribution, his former students organised a Guruvandana programme and presented him with a motorcycle worth ₹1.25 lakh as a token of their gratitude and appreciation.
Before the felicitation ceremony, the students also took their beloved teacher in a procession through the village in an open vehicle, drawing appreciation from local residents.
Overwhelmed by the unexpected gesture, Nadaf became emotional and was left speechless as tears welled up in his eyes.
First Ride Dedicated to His Mother
The first person Nadaf chose to take for a ride on his new motorcycle was his 85-year-old mother, Peerabi Nadaf, making the moment even more touching.
Explaining the reason behind the gift, the former students said, “Nadaf sir served our village for 31 years and was loved by everyone. After his retirement, all of us came together and decided to present him with a motorcycle. His invaluable service and dedication to generations of students will never be forgotten.”
The heartfelt tribute has drawn widespread appreciation, highlighting the lasting impact a dedicated teacher can have on the lives of students long after they leave the classroom.
