Weather officials have indicated that light rainfall may begin in parts of South Bengal from Thursday evening. Districts likely to receive showers include North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas, Howrah, Hooghly, Nadia, and Murshidabad.
However, the rainfall is not expected to be heavy. Instead, these areas may witness brief spells of light to moderate rain, which could provide temporary relief but may not significantly reduce temperatures.
Better Rain Chances from the Weekend
The weather is expected to become more favourable for rainfall from Saturday onward. Several districts may experience moderate showers accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning activity.
Meteorologists believe that a noticeable change in temperature could begin from Sunday. While the cooling effect may not be dramatic, the increased rainfall activity is expected to ease the intense heat that has gripped the region over the past few days.
