In West Bengal, the doctor with whom the incident of rape and murder took place at RG Kar Medical College said that she wants to meet PM Modi with her husband. She wants to meet the Prime Minister to bring justice to her daughter. Recalling the daughter on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the sad mother has expressed concern about the safety of women of the state.
He said that I would like to meet the Prime Minister. He will seek his assistance in the daughter’s murder case. Our deceased will seek help from him to consider our appeal of justice for the doctor.
On August 9 last year, a 31 -year -old junior doctor at a government hospital in Kolkata took place and was brutally murdered. After this incident, outrage spread among the people of the whole country. A mother said about her daughter’s dream in her eyes that our daughter had dreams. We never thought that he would have to die such death. It has been seven months since he has gone away from us, but he has not yet got justice. We do not even have a certificate of his death.
He said that if a female doctor is not safe on her workplace, where is the security? Reacting to the mother’s desire to meet the Prime Minister, BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul said that there is a process to seek time to meet the Prime Minister. I am sure our Prime Minister will meet him and hear his appeal.
Our leader Mamta Banerjee took the first step
Trinamool Congress leader and state Finance Minister Chandima Bhattacharya said that anyone in this country has the right to ask and meet the Prime Minister. But we should not forget that our leader Mamata Banerjee had taken the first step and the criminal was arrested. Even the investigating agency cannot be separated from the purposes in its investigation.
A district court in the state on January 20 sentenced Sanjay Roy, a citizen of Kolkata Police, convicted in the rape and murder case, to life imprisonment. Both the CBI and the state government had filed an appeal in the Calcutta High Court demanding the death penalty for Sanjay.
The High Court on 7 February, while accepting a similar petition of the Central Investigation Agency, refused to accept the state government’s appeal challenging the lifetime imprisonment of the lower court given to Sanjay.
