KK Pathak, Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department in Bihar, is being sent to Delhi on deputation. Bihar government has accepted the application of KK Pathak and given him NOC. KK Pathak is known for his flamboyant image. He was recently in controversy due to the changes made in school timings by the Bihar government. He is accused of abusing teachers during live video conferencing.

The state government has approved sending KK Pathak on central deputation. He was on target of the state government in Bihar regarding the timing of government schools. KK Pathak wanted to run government schools in Bihar from 9 am to 5 pm, whereas Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had ordered government schools to run from 10 am to 4 pm.

There was an uproar in the house

The opposition created ruckus in the House for several days regarding KK Pathak. Even today there was a lot of uproar in the assembly. The Chief Minister had to clarify this matter in the House for two days. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had ordered in clear words that government schools will not function before 10 in the morning. KK Pathak was not ready to accept even this order of the Chief Minister.

Chief Minister said honest officer

Even today, the opposition had raised questions in the Bihar Assembly regarding KK Pathak. However, before dismissing KK Pathak, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had publicly described Pathak in the House as an honest officer. The opposition was continuously demanding action against Pathak, but the Chief Minister had refused to take any action against KK Pathak, calling him an honest officer.

Clash with Chief Minister even from Raj Bhavan

While KK Pathak had the courage to disobey the Chief Minister’s order, he also had a tough fight with the Raj Bhavan. KK Pathak had called a meeting of the Vice Chancellors of all the universities of Bihar on 28 February, although no Vice Chancellor came to this meeting. On which Pathak had also issued a notice to all the Vice-Chancellors, freezing their salaries. It is said that KK Pathak had to fight with the Raj Bhavan and the government.

Many reforms made in school education

It is noteworthy that KK Pathak also made many reforms in the school education of Bihar. There was resentment among the teachers due to some decisions of Pathak, but due to the fear of Pathak, an environment of good teaching and learning was definitely created in the schools. Teachers also started coming to school on time. Students and parents were happy with this action of Pathak. Now Bihar government has approved KK Pathak to go on central deputation.
