Kiara Advani Thanks Yash, Geetu Mohandas For Supporting Her During Pregnancy: You Both Smiled With Tears…

Kiara Advani, who plays Nadia in Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown Ups, got emotional while recalling the support she received from Yash and director Geetu Mohandas.

At the film’s Chennai pre-release event, the actor revealed that Yash and Geetu Mohandas were among the first people outside her family she informed about her pregnancy. She said how neither of them worried about the production or logistics and instead made her feel comfortable on set. Kiara Advani’s comments come after Yash had previously spoken about looking after the actor during her pregnancy, describing himself and Geetu Mohandas as ‘bouncers/bodyguard’ while praising her commitment to the film.

Kiara Advani Reveals Yash And Geetu Were Among First To Know

During the Chennai pre-release event of ,Kiara Advani shared a personal experience from the making of the film and expressed her gratitude towards and Geetu Mohandas. Kiara Advani said, “When I got pregnant, after my family, you were the first two people I shared the news with.”

She spoke about how Yash and   reacted when she broke the news. “In that moment, you didn’t think about how will we finish the film, the logistics, none of that. You both smiled with tears in your eyes, congratulated me and said, ‘We’re going to have the time of our lives now, Kiara,'” she said. Kiara Advani said that their response left happy. “I was so touched to just see someone who was so happy for me. I will never forget that, you said, come on set, be comfortable, eat whatever you want. And we’re going to make the best film. And we truly did. You truly, truly did make me feel like I could do anything in that moment. So thank you for being the human being that you are.”

Yash Called Himself A ‘Bouncer’ During Kiara’s Pregnancy

Yash had previously spoken about Kiara Advani’s dedication to Toxic at the film’s Mumbai audio launch. He recalled being concerned about the physical demands of the film after learning she was pregnant, but praised her for continuing to give the film her full commitment. He said, “The way she dedicated herself, and I must say, even after she was pregnant, she came with 100% commitment. I was more worried; Geetu was more worried. We were like bouncers/ bodyguards on set; we used to take care of her, but she has really dedicated herself. Thank you, Kiara; this one is special.”

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is directed by Geetu Mohandas and stars Yash alongside Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria. The gangster drama is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 26.
