‘Stree’ actor Abhishek Banerjee has made a big career decision. The actor has stepped down from Casting Bay, the casting company he co-founded with Anmol Ahuja in 2017, and announced that he will now focus on acting and his other professional projects.
The announcement was shared through an emotional note on his official Instagram account on Monday.
Abhishek announces his exit from Casting Bay
Abhishek posted a statement that began with the line, “Sometimes moving forward doesn’t mean leaving something behind.”
The note explained that Casting Bay was started by two friends who shared a common vision and love for the craft of casting. As their careers grew in different directions, their professional journeys naturally changed too.
It confirmed that Abhishek has now retired from Casting Bay and will continue with his acting career and other work.
Anmol Ahuja will continue leading the company
The statement also made it clear that Casting Bay will continue under the leadership of co-founder Anmol Ahuja.
It added that both Abhishek and Anmol are proud of what they built together and remain grateful for their journey as partners.
The note ended by saying that the decision is about appreciating the path they travelled together while looking forward to the new roads ahead.
Friends from the film industry send their wishes
Several actors reacted to Abhishek’s announcement in the comments section of his Instagram post.
His ‘Stree’ co-star Aparshakti Khurana wrote, “Bestest Wishes to both of you in all your future endeavours… thanks for creating a beautiful community of artists and showing them the right path… big hug!”
Actor Avinash Tiwary commented, “Love Always,” along with three red heart emojis.
Actor Kritika Kamra also congratulated the duo, writing, “What a great run! More power to you both.”
Busy acting schedule ahead for Abhishek
With casting now behind him, Abhishek has a packed lineup as an actor.
He will next be seen in ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’ and ‘Lust Stories 3’.
The actor is also preparing for his Tamil film debut, where he will star opposite R. Madhavan.
Apart from these projects, Abhishek has also been cast as the main antagonist opposite Tiger Shroff in Tiger’s upcoming film.
