On June 27, despite being unwell, Devichand Aggarwal participated in the candle march organized in his housing society. During that time he had made an emotional appeal for justice for his grandson. Amidst tears, he alleged that his family had been betrayed. He had said that the people whom he had trusted for decades had betrayed his family. He had demanded strict punishment against the main accused Sia Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary, saying that they should get the “death penalty”.
