Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, caught in a money laundering case related to the liquor policy matter, will be produced in Rouse Avenue Court on Monday. Kejriwal’s Enforcement Directorate custody is ending today i.e. on April 1. Kejriwal will be presented in the court of Special Judge Kaveri Baweja of Rouse Avenue Court. On Thursday, March 28, the court had extended the remand of the Delhi Chief Minister for four days. His wife Sunita Kejriwal has reached the court.
Meanwhile, there is news that ED will not seek further remand of Kejriwal. In such a situation, Arvind Kejriwal will be sent to Tihar Jail. There is news that a high level meeting is being held in Tihar Jail for the last two days. Even today there is an important meeting in the jail. In such a situation, it is believed that Kejriwal will be discussed in the meeting. If Arvind Kejriwal comes to judicial custody in Tihar Jail during the meeting, then in which jail number will he be kept? There will be discussion on all the preparations along with preparations for their security arrangements. It is being told that jail number 5 has been sanitized.
The arrest took place on March 21
ED had arrested Kejriwal from his residence on March 21. The Enforcement Directorate had requested seven days’ custody of Kejriwal in the last hearing, but the court had ordered him to appear on April 1. After which he will be produced before today. Now the court will give its verdict on whether Korjriwal’s remand will be extended again or whether he will be sent to jail.
The court had extended the remand by 4 days
Earlier on March 28, ED had told the court that their interrogation has not been completed yet, hence Kejriwal’s remand should be extended. ED had also said that Kejriwal has to face some people. After which the court had extended Kejriwal’s remand by four days. Earlier, after his appearance on March 22, he was sent to ED custody for 6 days.
