Till now 6 lakh people have visited Baba
According to Rudraprayag SSP Dr. Vishakha Ashok Bhadane, this incident happened at around 5 am. She said that the incident is definitely scary, but no devotee or local people have suffered any harm in this incident. This time with the beginning of May, the influx of devotees coming to Kedarnath has increased rapidly. In the first week itself after the start of the Yatra, about 6 lakh people had darshan of Baba Kedarnath.
Why do avalanches happen?
According to DM Rudraprayag, since May 10, more than 7 lakh devotees have received blessings by visiting Baba. According to information, avalanches are not a new thing on the Himalayan mountains. Actually, the peaks of the Himalayas are always covered with snow. In such a situation, whenever there is any movement below the surface, the snow mountains start sliding. Many times, such incidents also cause huge losses.
