Katrina Kaif Fan Page Deactivated Amid Her Silence Over Student Protest: ‘You Betrayed Us’ – Report

The student protest, also known as the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest, is one of the biggest movements seen in recent history. However, it has sparked a clear divide in Bollywood. While some celebrities have come out in support of the protesters and demanded the government’s accountability over the NEET-UG paper leak scandal, others have remained silent even as the situation continues to intensify after the Chalo Sansad march, which led to major chaos and violence. Amid the support, backlash and political discourse, Katrina Kaif has been criticised by a diehard fan running an Instagram page dedicated to her. According to a report, the account has been deactivated in response to the actress’ silence over the issue.

A viral post, shared by one of Kat’s fan pages, reads, “I’ve been your fan since childhood, but you can’t say a word for us   who love you from the bottom of our hearts. You don’t have the spine to speak against the government. You betrayed us when we supported you at your lowest. I’m unfollowing you and closing this fan page. You don’t deserve it.”

The person added that they do not have any hatred towards Katrina and that this is just their personal stance.

The comments section was filled with mixed reactions. While many lauded the fan for taking a bold step in the right direction, others defended the actress, stating that she has every right to remain silent

One comment read: “If you live in a democracy, so does she. If you can choose what you want to support, so can she. And if you can’t support her for what she chooses to support—even if you completely disagree—you were never a true fan.”
