Karnataka Rain Alert: Heavy Rain Likely Till May 25, Bengaluru Under Yellow Alert

The weather department has warned of thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds in several coastal and interior districts. On May 23, districts including Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada are likely to receive rainfall at isolated places.

In North Interior Karnataka, districts such as Raichur, Koppal, Gadag and Bagalkot may witness winds blowing at speeds of 50 to 60 kmph along with moderate rain. Southern interior districts including Tumakuru, Chitradurga, Bengaluru, Hassan, Ramanagara, Kolar and Chikkaballapur are also expected to receive rain accompanied by gusty winds.

Rainfall activity is expected to continue on May 24 as well, affecting coastal districts and several southern and northern interior regions including Mysuru, Shivamogga, Kodagu, Chikkamagaluru and Davanagere.
