Dharwad (Karnataka): A tragic road accident took place in Dharwad, Karnataka in the early hours of Thursday. There was a massive collision between a MUV vehicle and a truck near Arbail Ghat in Yallapur taluk. Six people died and three others were injured in this accident. Police said that all the deceased were residents of Dharwad and had gone out to visit other places including Dharmasthal.

According to the police, the deceased have been identified as driver Sanjay Angadi (33), Basavaraj (48), Abhishek Ishwar (28), Akshay (26), Abhishek (26), and Manjunath Chulki (32). When a road transport bus overturned in Karnataka

A Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus overturned near the VTU campus in Muddenahalli here, leaving eight people seriously injured. According to officials, the KSRTC bus had 26 passengers and was going from Doddaballapur to Chikkaballapur. According to initial information, the driver tried to avoid a tipper lorry coming from Kaniway Narayanpura, due to which he lost control of the bus and it overturned on the roadside.

- After the accident, local people and police reached the spot and started rescue operations. All the injured were admitted to Sathya Sai Hospital in Muddenahalli for treatment. Hospital sources said that the condition of three injured remains critical.
