Kareena Kapoor Recreates Karismas Iconic Jubeda Look for Upcoming Film Promotion

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has paid tribute to her sister Karisma Kapoor by recreating her memorable fashion moment from the film “Jubeda.” This homage took place during the promotional events for Kareena’s upcoming film, “Daira.”

On her Instagram Stories, Kareena shared a collage comparing her look to Karisma’s iconic appearance from the movie, featuring a vibrant multi-colored saree. The collage included a still of Karisma holding a bouquet, showcasing the same stunning attire.

Kareena captioned the post, “I always knew our taste was great… Sisters forever.” Karisma originally wore this iconic saree in the song “Dheeme Dheeme Gaaun,” composed by A.R. Rahman and sung by Kavita Krishnamurthy. In the film directed by Shyam Benegal, she paired the saree with a simple blouse and elegant pearl jewelry, making it one of the most memorable fashion moments in Bollywood.

“Daira,” directed by Meghna Gulzar, is inspired by true events and explores themes of crime, punishment, and the contrasting mindsets of two police officers regarding swift versus delayed justice. This film marks the first collaboration between Junglee Pictures and Pen Studios. It is also Kareena’s first film alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran.

Produced by Junglee Pictures and Dr. Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios, the film is set to release in theaters on September 18 in both Hindi and Malayalam.
