Actress Kajol turned emotional on Sunday as her son Yug Devgan celebrated his 16th birthday, sharing a heartfelt message about his growing years and her hopes for the man he will become.
Taking to Instagram, the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai actress said she could hardly believe that Yug had reached 16. Despite watching him grow taller and stronger, she said she still sees the little boy he once was.
Kajol reflected on the mix of memories of Yug as a child and the young man he is becoming, saying that both versions of him remain intertwined in her eyes.
As Yug enters another important phase of his life, Kajol also opened up about her hopes and fears as a mother. She said her biggest wish was for him to grow into a good man who can face life’s challenges with courage, grace and kindness, both towards himself and others.
She encouraged her son to embrace life fearlessly and make the most of the opportunities ahead, signing off with an affectionate message of love.

Kajol and actor Ajay Devgn married in 1999 and have two children, daughter Nysa and son Yug. Nysa is their elder child, while Yug was born in 2010.
