While Joy e-bike has yet to provide any details about the final production of this scooter, media reports suggest it may be showcased again at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025. Furthermore, this scooter is also expected to make an appearance at the Auto Expo 2025, where more comprehensive information is anticipated.
Features of the Joy e-bike Hydrogen Scooter
According to reports, Wardwizard, the parent company of Joy e-bike, is continuously working on hydrogen fuel cell and electrolyzer technology, which powers this scooter. This technology enables the scooter to run on distilled water, potentially playing a crucial role in clean mobility if successfully implemented in India.
The introduction of this scooter could significantly reduce pollution, as it operates on distilled water. The technology breaks down water molecules to extract hydrogen, which is then used as fuel to power the scooter.
However, this is just the beginning; it may not offer high-performance capabilities. The top speed of this water-powered scooter is expected to be around 25 km/h, but it can be increased. Due to its lower speed, riders will not need a driving license, nor will they have to register the scooter. Additionally, the scooter is equipped with pedals, allowing it to be pedaled in case the water supply runs out.
Impressive Mileage: 150 km per Liter
In India, several automotive companies are working on hydrogen-powered vehicles, but none have released a final product to the market yet. Joy e-bike’s hydrogen scooter claims to cover a distance of 150 kilometers on just one liter of water. However, it is important to note that this is still a prototype and not available for sale.
Currently, the company is focused on improving its technology. Until the final model is released, it is premature to make definitive claims. Sources indicate that significant changes could occur in the design, features, and range of the final model.
