At around 10 am on Monday morning, a bus full of passengers was going from Ramnagar towards Udhampur, when suddenly the driver lost control at a blind curve. The bus slipped off the road and fell into a deep ditch. So far, 10 people have been confirmed dead in this heart-wrenching accident, while many passengers are seriously injured. The video of the incident is going viral on social media, in which local people and soldiers are seen saving the injured.

How did the accident happen?

According to eyewitnesses, the bus suddenly went out of control while taking a turn and overturned and fell straight down the hill. There was hue and cry on the spot immediately after the accident. It was fortunate that local residents and security forces were present nearby, who immediately started the rescue operation.

Army and police used their strength for rescue

Considering the seriousness of the accident, teams of army, police and local administration are standing at the spot. The condition of many passengers remains critical. They have been shifted to nearby hospitals. Union Minister Jitendra Singh has said that arrangements are being made to airlift the seriously injured so that they can get better treatment.

Chief Minister expressed grief over the accident

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has expressed deep grief over this accident. He said that the government stands with the victims and their families. At the same time, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has described it as ‘heartbreaking’ and has directed the administration to provide all possible help.
