In Jharkhand, voting was held for 43 seats in the first phase on 13 November. About 66.65 percent voters voted in the first phase of voting. This was 2.75 percent more than the voting recorded on 43 seats in the 2019 assembly elections. According to Election Commission data, out of 43 seats, women have voted more than men in 37 seats.

He said that it has been seen from the voting data that in the first phase, more women voting was recorded than men in 37 out of 43 assembly constituencies.
Along with this, the Election Commission said that the first phase of voting in the state has been peaceful and all the polling parties have returned safely and the investigation has been completed in the presence of the candidates or their authorized agents.
Second phase of voting on November 20
Now the Commission has started preparing for the second phase of voting on November 20. After the second phase of voting, counting of votes will take place on November 23. Counting of votes will take place simultaneously in Jharkhand and Maharashtra. Counting of votes for Assembly by-election and Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election will also take place on this day.
A senior Election Commission official said that after counting the final votes cast, the postal ballots will be available along with the count. Postal ballots include ballot papers given to service voters, absentee voters – above 85 years of age, persons with disabilities, people deployed in essential services and voters deployed on election duty. The election authority said that as per the established guidelines, daily accounting of such postal ballots received is given to all the candidates.
