Many of his supporters have reached outside the Central Jail early in the morning. Let us tell you, former MP Dhananjay Singh, who was serving a seven-year sentence for kidnapping Abhinav Singhal, the project manager of the firm working on the Namami Gange project, and demanding extortion, had got bail from the High Court three days ago.
On Tuesday, the order for his release was issued by Additional Sessions Judge MP/MLA Court, Jaunpur. The order was sent from Jaunpur Jail and District Jail to Bareilly. In such a situation, Dhananjay Singh is expected to be released by Wednesday.
Will approach the Supreme Court against the sentence
Let us tell you that Dhananjay Singh has got immediate relief from Allahabad High Court. On April 27, the High Court had ordered the release of Dhananjay Singh on bail. However, the High Court refused to stay the 7-year sentence awarded by the Jaunpur MP MLA Court. After getting bail from the High Court, Dhananjay Singh will now come out of the jail bars. But due to 7 years of imprisonment, Dhananjay Singh will not be able to contest the elections. Dhananjay Singh’s lawyers have said that the High Court has currently ordered his release on bail. But the sentence has not been stayed, now he will file an appeal against the sentence in the Supreme Court.

A criminal appeal was filed in the High Court on behalf of Dhananjay Singh demanding stay on the sentence and release on bail. After completion of hearing on Dhananjay Singh’s appeal on Thursday, Allahabad High Court had reserved the decision.
Dhananjay Singh will be able to campaign for his wife
An advocate of Jaunpur Civil Court said that during the debate the former MP got bail. But the punishment given by Jaunpur court has not been put on hold yet. Therefore, former MP Dhananjay Singh will be barred from contesting elections. Dhananjay Singh will definitely not be able to contest the elections. But he will definitely be seen campaigning for his wife in Jaunpur. It is said that the former MP has a lot of influence in Jaunpur.
