The hero of West Indies’ victory was Jason Holder, who changed the outcome of the match by wreaking havoc with a strike rate of 420.

Playing first in the match, the Sri Lankan team’s batting was not very good and it was able to score only 169 runs after losing all its wickets in 20 overs. In reply, West Indies won the WI vs SL third T20 by scoring 170 at the loss of 5 wickets in 19.4 overs.
WI vs SL: Half of Sri Lankan team returned to the pavilion within 100 in the third T20.
The Sri Lankan team, who came to bat first after losing the toss, did not have a good start in the WI vs SL third T20. Vellalaghe played an inning of 43 runs in 28 balls. For West Indies, Shamar Joseph bowled extremely lethally and took 5 wickets for 33 runs.

Rutherford’s brilliant half-century, Holder created terror and gave victory to West Indies
The West Indies team looked to be in trouble after 4 wickets fell till the score of 53, but then Sherfane Rutherford kept the West Indies in the match by making an important partnership of 81 runs with Rovman Powell (33). However, both these batsmen could not add runs very fast. For this reason the required run rate had become much higher.
West Indies needed 29 runs in the last two overs. In the 19th over, Jason Holder hit three sixes and this resulted in a total of 23 runs. From here the match went in favor of West Indies. After this, Rutherford completed his fifty with a four on the third ball of the last over and the score was also leveled. Then with a single on the fourth ball, Rutherford took his team to the target. He scored 54 not out in 40 balls. Whereas Holder remained unbeaten and scored 21 runs in just 5 balls. Wanindu Hasaranga got maximum 2 wickets from Sri Lankan side.
