Raipur. A new chapter has been added in the development journey of Jashpur district. The Ministry of Railways, Government of India has notified the Dharamjaigarh–Pathalgaon–Lohardaga New Railway Line Project as a Special Railway Project. With this decision, the way has been cleared to connect Jashpur with the Indian Railways network for the first time. This project is not limited to rail facilities only, but will also prove important for the social, economic and industrial development of the area.
Dharamjaigarh-Pathalgaon-Lohardaga Rail Line: 291 km long ambitious project
This approximately 291.881 km long railway line will start from Dharamjaigarh in Raigarh district and reach Lohardaga in Jharkhand via Pathalgaon in Jashpur district. After the completion of the project, Jashpur will be directly connected to the national rail network, which will give a new impetus to both the connectivity and development of the region.
Rail Ministry Notification: Railway Ministry issued notification
As per the notification published in the Gazette of India by the Ministry of Railways, the project has been notified under the Railways Act 1989 in view of public interest and national infrastructure development. The project has officially become effective with the release of the notification.
