Ujjain: In Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, a Muslim youth was beaten up by Bajrang Dal workers. He came to see Mahakal in the guise of a Hindu devotee, wearing ashes on his forehead and Rudraksh around his neck along with a Hindu girl. Both of them were residents of Mohali, Punjab and were staying in a hotel in Ujjain. As soon as Bajrang Dal got the news of this, they reached the spot and beat the Muslim youth severely. According to reports, initially the youth described himself as a Hindu, but after being beaten, he confessed that he was a Muslim and his name was Jafar Khan.
Yellow kurta-dhoti, Rudraksh around the neck and ashes on the forehead—still caught
Seeing Jafar’s appearance no one could doubt that he was not a Hindu. He wore a yellow kurta and dhoti, had a Rudraksh garland around his neck and had ashes applied on his forehead. Still, I don’t know how the Bajrang Dal people came to know about this and they beat the young man severely. The video of this fight has gone viral on social media. When asked by Bajrang Dal, he told that he is a devotee of Shiva and had come to visit Mahakaleshwar temple. After this uproar, the police reached the spot and when they started examining the documents, they came to know that his name was Jafar Khan.
Bajrang Dal workers had received information that a couple from another state was staying in the hotel. They waited outside the hotel for about an hour and as soon as the person appeared, they stopped him and started interrogating him. As soon as his real identity was revealed, many people attacked him.
The video of the entire incident has gone viral on social media. In the viral video, the man reveals his name as Jafar Khan and says that he is a devotee of Shiva. It is also seen in the video that his head is injured and bleeding.
It is learned that he had gone to Mahakaleshwar Temple, Harsiddhi Temple and Kaal Bhairav Temple with the Hindu woman. On receiving information about the uproar, the police reached the spot and calmed down the situation. Nanakheda police station in-charge Narendra Yadav said that both the man and the woman are residents of Mohali. The woman is 32 years old and both are from different communities. The woman knew about his religion and they already knew each other.
