While they say you should never meet your inspirations, that necessarily does not need to be the case every time. A recent example of this is when Ritvik Sahore got to realise his childhood dream of not only meeting his idol, Rajkummar Rao, but also acting with him in their upcoming movie, Prahaar. A few years back during the success party for Stree, Ritvik Sahore got a chance to click a picture with Rajkummar Rao. The moment is even more special considering Ritvik was in attendance as a guest with his dear friend Aparshakti Khurana.
Reliving the moment with awestruck words, Ritvik said, “It’s crazy how life comes full circle in the most unexpected ways. I remember going to the Stree success party with Aparshakti Khurana, who is a very dear friend of mine and had taken me along. I remember seeing Rajkummar there and thinking how much I admired his work. I’ve always been a huge fan of his, but I’m also quite shy, so I had to really gather the courage to go up and ask him for a picture. I remember thinking, ‘I hope I get to work with him someday.’”

The moment was not far away, and soon enough, Ritvik did eventually land a part in Rajkummar Rao’s Prahaar. He continued, “A few years later, I got to play his son in Prahaar. Working with him was honestly such a special experience. He’s an incredible actor, but more than that, he’s a genuinely good human being. He’s so warm and giving, and I learnt a lot just by watching him. He’d be joking around and having fun on set, and the moment the camera came on, he’d just become Ujjwal Nikam. That was really inspiring to see.”
The dream doesn’t end there, as Prahaar would become the first of more movies the two actors would share the screen in. Adding to it, Ritvik said, “I had told him about that picture from the Stree party, and he suggested we recreate it. So, when we did that on the sets of Prahaar, it genuinely felt like a full-circle moment. And then getting to work with him again on Dada was just the cherry on top. I really couldn’t have asked for more.”

Ritvik started his career as a child actor in various films, including Ferrari Kik Sawaari and Dangal. Since then, he has continued to work on various other projects across OTT and theatrical releases.
Ritvik Sahore will also be seen in Dada, starring Rajkummar Rao as Saurav Ganguly, where he will reportedly be playing the role of a widely celebrated cricketer. The identity of the character, however, still stays under wraps.
