Is there emergency in Maharashtra? Sanjay Raut angry at Fadnavis’ warning. Sanjay Raut Asks Fadnavis Is There An Emergency In Maharashtra

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has cornered CM Devendra Fadnavis on the ‘missing link’ project of Mumbai-Pune Expressway. Accusing the government of corruption and intimidation, he asked whether emergency has been imposed in Maharashtra?

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [भारत]July 9 (ANI): Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Thursday targeted Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He criticized Fadnavis’ recent aggressive stance on the “missing link” infrastructure project on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

Hitting back at the Chief Minister’s warning, Raut questioned the atmosphere of governance in the state on the issue. He asked whether “Emergency” has been imposed in Maharashtra and alleged that corruption, looting and intimidation have become the hallmark of the current administration.

‘Has emergency been imposed in Maharashtra?’

Raut said in his post, “Failure, ego, pride, and much more… all this will end in an instant! Maharashtra needs a cultured Chief Minister! But what can one do? The mine itself is dirty! Has Devendra Fadnavis imposed emergency in Maharashtra? Government sponsored corruption, plunder and mobocracy – this is the emergency where people are not allowed to speak!”

The Shiv Sena (UBT) leader also shared a video clip of the ongoing Maharashtra Legislature monsoon session in which Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, while defending the project in the Assembly, gave a stern warning to critics. In the clip, Fadnavis said, “Our Jayantrao ji said the right thing, those who are not wiped by the dog, nowadays they come on social media and abuse everyone, they even abuse the Chief Minister. Some such hired ponies were also writing about this missing link on social media by taking money, I want to tell them also, if you insult Maharashtra, I will not leave you.”

Failure 🙄 Ego’s joy Vagre Vagre… O all the moments descend! Maharashtra needs a cultured Chief Minister! But what will you do? Khan tashi mati! Has Devendra Fadnavis imposed lockdown in Maharashtra? What is the whole controversy?

The statement comes a day after Fadnavis defended himself in the Maharashtra Assembly following criticism over a landslide near a tunnel of the Mumbai-Pune Expressway’s Missing Link project following heavy rains.

Responding to the discussion on heavy rains and flood management, the Chief Minister said that initial challenges are inevitable in major infrastructure projects. He accused some critics of deliberately spreading misinformation through television, social media and paid campaigns. He stressed that the missing link is an engineering achievement that has reduced accidents in the ghat section and improved traffic movement between Mumbai and Pune.

Fadnavis also said that governments cannot abandon big infrastructure projects for fear of landslides. He compared it with the Konkan Railway, which also faced landslides in its early years, which were later rectified by engineering improvements. He said the government has consulted experts from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), who have recommended additional security measures that will be implemented to strengthen the security of the project.

The controversy follows landslides triggered by heavy rains in the Mumbai-Pune Ghat section earlier this week, disrupting both rail and road connectivity. Traffic on the Mumbai-bound carriageway was suspended due to a landslide near the Missing Link tunnel, while several train services were canceled or diverted as repair work continued amid incessant rains.
