Is Mohammed Shami’s journey over in Team India? A decision of BCCI created panic

Team India is currently playing a test series against New Zealand. After this, the Indian team will play its next test series against Australia. Team India’s squad has been announced for this series to be played from 22nd November. But the surprising thing is that star fast bowler Mohammed Shami will not be a part of the team on this tour. Mohammed Shami is out of Team India since the 2023 ODI World Cup. He suffered an injury during the tournament, due to which he went to London in February 2024 and underwent surgery. It was believed that he could make a comeback on this Australia tour, but this has not happened.

BCCI did not give any update on Mohammed Shami

Along with the Australia tour, BCCI has also announced the team for the South Africa tour, where the T20 series is to be played. During this time, BCCI has also given a separate update on the players who were not selected in the team due to injury, which include players like Kuldeep Yadav, Mayank Yadav, Shivam Dubey and Ryan Parag. But BCCI has not given any update on Mohammed Shami in its press release, which has surprised everyone.

Mohammed Shami declared himself fit

Mohammed Shami had recently said on his injury during an event that he is not feeling any pain now and he will get at least one more injury to strengthen his claim for selection for the tour of Australia starting next month. Or you will have to prove your fitness by playing two domestic matches. But BCCI has surprised everyone by suddenly announcing the team. Not only this, Shami was not selected even subject to fitness, which means that his entry is difficult even in the middle of the series.

Let us tell you, recently Mohammed Shami was seen bowling to assistant coach Abhishek Nair after the Bengaluru Test. Then he was seen bowling with full run-up. At the same time, Shami is still continuously telling himself. Why he was not selected even after this is beyond understanding. Shami has played a total of 11 test matches in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and has taken 40 wickets in his name. In such a situation, Team India may miss a fast bowler like Mohammed Shami on the Australia tour.
