Meenakshi Chaudhary, who gained widespread attention for her performance in the Telugu hit ‘Lucky Bhaskhar’, is reportedly being considered for the female lead in Nani’s upcoming film ‘Bloody Romeo’.
According to industry reports, discussions have taken place with the actress regarding a role opposite Nani in the project. The film is being produced by Niharika Entertainment and Unanimous Productions.
There has been no official announcement from the makers confirming Meenakshi Chaudhary’s involvement so far. ‘Bloody Romeo’ is being produced by Venkat Boyanapalli’s Niharika Entertainment in association with Unanimous Productions. The project marks Nani’s first collaboration with filmmaker Sujeeth, who recently directed Pawan Kalyan in ‘They Call Him OG’.
The makers unveiled the title of ‘Bloody Romeo’ earlier this year on Nani’s birthday through a stylised title glimpse. The promotional video established a dark comic-noir atmosphere, using shades of purple and red to introduce the world of the protagonist.
The glimpse featured Nani’s character in a kitchen while Vennela Kishore’s voiceover described qualities such as mercy, anger and brutality as though they were ingredients in a recipe.
The unusual presentation hinted at a protagonist whose approach to the criminal world is methodical and calculated. The metaphor eventually culminated in a pressure cooker explosion that destroyed the so-called “Gangster’s Den”.
Nani’s character is then shown emerging from the destruction, suggesting that the film will combine action with a sharp dose of dark humour.
While details about the plot and female lead remain under wraps, the reported discussions with Meenakshi Chaudhary have generated interest around the upcoming project.
