The trailer of Bhumi Pednekar’s film ‘Bhakshak’ has been released. This film, inspired by many true incidents, has been directed by Pulkit. Recently when we asked Pulkit whether his story was inspired by the Muzaffarpur shelter home case? Then Pulkit said, “This film is not just based on the case of Muzaffar Shelter Home. Reference has been taken from many different cases. The story based on the Muzaffarpur incident is also included in the film, but apart from this, we have made this film inspired by many true incidents.”
Pulkit said, “There are many places where small children are involved in trafficking. Seeing them, there was a question in my heart that if something like this happens at my house, I will be sad. But why don’t I feel as sad for the other children? And with this thought I started writing this film. I have lived with many such children, but I will not talk about them because they are all very young. But after meeting him, I decided that I must tell this story for those children.”
Story of those who came forward for the people
Pulkit further said, “Even though in this film we have told the story of a journalist who raised her voice against injustice. But we want that this film should force not only journalists but everyone to raise their voice against injustice. Today, when you go on the road and someone meets with an accident, people make videos. The person in front is lying in pain and people are making videos of him. But the person in this crowd who helps the injured person, Movie “It is about all those who show such courage.”
Muzaffarpur Shelter Home Case
On the orders of Bihar Government, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai had conducted a social audit of the Girls Home in Bihar during the year 2018. In this audit it was claimed that girls are being sexually exploited in the girls’ home of Muzaffarpur. After this report, when investigation was done by the government, many things were proved to be true in that investigation.
