Irregular heartbeat is a condition in which the heart beats too fast, too slow, or in an irregular pattern. It occurs when there is a disturbance in the heart’s electrical system that controls the heart rate and rhythm. While occasional irregular heartbeats are normal and out of danger, frequent occurrences may be a sign of a dangerous medical condition. In such a situation, you do not need to panic, for this you can bring some changes in your daily habits.
How to control irregular heartbeat?
1. Regular exercise
If you do moderate exercise every day, it will help strengthen the heart and improve its functions. You should take out 30 to 60 minutes daily for exercise. By doing this the risk of heart attack reduces to a great extent. If you can’t go to the gym, try walking, climbing stairs, and lifting heavy objects.
2. Eat a balanced diet
No matter how much exercise you do, it will be difficult to progress towards good health if your diet is not balanced. People who take a balanced diet, their heart rate starts moving at a regular pace. At the same time, if you eat too much oily, salty, fried and trans fat foods, your heart health is at risk.
3. Don’t take stress
Our elders often say, ‘Worry is like a funeral pyre.’ This means that if we do not take good care of our mental health then it becomes difficult to keep our body healthy. People who take more stress and tension have irregular heartbeat.
4. Get enough sleep
Most health experts recommend that youth should sleep 7 to 8 hours a day. If you don’t do this or disrupt your sleep cycle, your heart rate may become irregular.
