IPL Points Table 2026 (Updated), After Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Gujarat Titans Match: Royal Challengers Bangalore have regained their lost place in the points table of IPL 2026. By bouncing back in just 24 hours, he has regained the number 1 title. RCB did this by defeating KKR by 6 wickets in the match played in Raipur on 13 May. By defeating KKR, he pushed Gujarat Titans down from the number-1 position. After 12-12 matches, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans have 16-16 points. The only difference between the two teams is the net run rate, which is the reason for RCB becoming number 1.
Along with becoming number 1, RCB is also certain to go to the playoffs.
After the victory over KKR, RCB becoming number 1 again means that now the picture of its reaching the playoffs looks clear. Even though there is no mark of qualification in front of her name, now it seems certain that she is not going to be out of the race for the playoffs. RCB still has two more matches to play which are against Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad. If RCB wins even one of those two matches, then its claim in the playoffs will be completely confirmed.
KKR out of playoff race!
On the other hand, after the defeat against RCB, KKR seems to be out of the race for the playoffs. KKR has 9 points in the 11 matches played so far and is at 8th place in the points table. In IPL 2026, KKR still has to play 3 more matches against Gujarat, Mumbai and Delhi. Even if it wins all three matches, it will still have only 15 points, which will not be enough to take it to the playoffs.

On the other hand, after RCB’s win over KKR, Gujarat Titans have definitely slipped down from the number one position, but it does not mean that they can be out of the playoffs. After the RCB vs KKR match, Gujarat Titans are second in the points table with 16 points and they still have to play two more matches. If it wins even one of the next two matches against KKR and CSK, then its ticket to the playoffs can be its own.

Gujarat Titans defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 12 and achieved the title of number 1 team in the points table. He had removed RCB from number one. But, 24 hours later, on the evening of 13 May, RCB again regained its lost honor by winning the match against KKR. He has removed Gujarat Titans from the number 1 position.
SRH, PBKS, CSK, RR also in the race for playoffs
After the RCB vs KKR match, no other major changes have been seen in the points table. Sunrisers Hyderabad has 14 points in 12 matches, while Punjab Kings have 13 points in 11 matches. These two teams are currently at third and fourth position in the points table.
CSK and RR are also in the race for the playoffs. There is a difference in run rate between these two teams. CSK is at number 5 with 12 points in 11 matches and a run rate of 0.185. Whereas RR also has 12 points in the same number of matches and its run rate is 0.082. Delhi Capitals is ranked 7th with 10 points from 12 matches and like KKR, MI and LSG, it is difficult for them to reach the playoffs.
