New Delhi: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter Rovman Powell took a brilliant catch to dismiss Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batter Heinrich Klaasen in the IPL 2026 clash at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday, May 3. After opting to bat first, SRH got off to a good start as Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head stitched a 44-run partnership for the opening wicket in 3.4 overs.
Kartik Tyagi provided KKR with their first breakthrough and removed Abhishek for 15 runs. Head then forged a 61-run partnership with Ishan Kishan for the second wicket. The opener scored 61 runs off 28 balls and was removed by Varun Chakaravarthy in the ninth over.

Heinrich Klaasen also failed to make a big contribution and was removed by Cameron Green in the 11th over. He bowled a short delivery, and Klaasen played a pull shot but only managed to get a top-edge. Powell moved to his right at deep midwicket and then leapt to catch the ball with his right hand. His palm hit the ground first, but he ensured that the ball didn’t touch the ground.
