The scored a competitive 194 runs for the loss of 9 wickets at the end of their innings. SRH started off with a bang as their openers gave them a fast start, but couldn`t build on that momentum later in the innings.
Abhishek Sharma scored a blistering 59 runs in just 22 balls. His innings included 6 fours and 4 sixes. Heinrich Klassen got his half-century too, scoring 59 runs in 39 balls. However, apart from these two innings, SRH failed to get going.
For CSK, Jamie Overton was the best bowler, taking 3 wickets for 37 runs. Mukesh Choudhary chipped in with 2 wickets too.
For CSK to chase the total, Sanju Samson and Ruturaj Gaikwad will be the key players. Shivam Dube`s impressive form against spin could be a decisive factor too.
After winning the toss, decided to bowl first on a flat wicket. The CSK captain added that his team will be looking to continue their recent good form.
“We are going to bowl first. Looks a really good track, won`t change much so we look to chase. Good to be up from the bottom. From the second game we started doing the basics right. The key is to be consistent. Last game I felt Noor bowled really well and good to have him back on track and even Anshul bowling really well at the death. In your language it looks like a belter but we got to assess it.” Gaikwad said.
SRH captain Ishan Kishan admitted that he was looking to bat first anyway. He added that Dilshan Madushanka is back in the team for this match.
“I think we would have batted first. Looks like a good wicket so we want to put up a good total. You have to bat for the team and not for individual performances.” said.
