Punjab Kings beat Lucknow Super Giants: In the 68th match of IPL 2026, Punjab Kings (PBKS) defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in a one-sided match. With this victory, Punjab Kings kept themselves alive in the race for the playoffs. At the same time, Lucknow Super Giants did not win even in their last league match. In this match, Shreyas Iyer played a match-winning inning for the Punjab team, due to which Punjab achieved the target of 197 runs at the loss of only 3 wickets.
Lucknow put a big score on the board
In the match, Lucknow Super Giants batted first and scored a big score on the board. Young batsmen Ayush Badoni and Josh English batted very aggressively from Lucknow side. Taking the Punjab bowlers on remand, Josh English scored 77 runs in 44 balls, in which 9 fours and 2 sixes were seen. At the same time, Ayush Badoni played a stormy inning of 43 runs in just 18 balls at a strike rate of 238.88, which included 5 fours and 3 skyscraper sixes. Then, Abdul Samad scored unbeaten 37 runs and Rishabh Pant scored 26 runs, taking the team’s score to 196 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs.
On the other hand, Marco Janson and Yuzvendra Chahal were the most successful bowlers from Punjab. Both the players made 2-2 batsmen their victims. At the same time, Azmatullah Umarzai and Shashank Singh took 1 wicket each.
Shreyas Iyer played Captain Knock

After this, Iyer and Prabhasimran Singh made a comeback for the team by batting brilliantly. Prabhsimran Singh scored 69 runs in 39 balls. At the same time, Shreyas Iyer returned unbeaten after scoring 101 runs on 51 balls. Due to which Punjab achieved this target in 18 overs only. The special thing was that Iyer achieved the feat of scoring a century for the first time in IPL.
