Rajasthan defeated Mumbai Indians by 30 runs in their last match. With this, Rajasthan entered the playoffs as the fourth and last team with 16 points. It was decided in the first match of the double header played on Sunday 24th May at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai that Rajasthan Royals Will reach the playoffs this season. It was necessary for Rajasthan to win this match at any cost and it presented a difficult challenge to Mumbai by scoring a big score of 205 runs. Mumbai could not overcome this challenge and could score only 175 runs. In this way Rajasthan registered its 8th win in the season and made it to the last-4. With the end of the league stage, Royal Challengers Bangalore secured the first position with 18 points. Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad also scored 18 points. Just because of the difference in net run rate, Gujarat got second place and Hyderabad got third place. Rajasthan Royals stood fourth with 16 points.
