IPL 2026: Neither four nor six, 4 runs-4 wickets in 17 balls, which two bowlers made Vaibhav Suryavanshi suffer like this?

Rajasthan Royals’ star opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi performed brilliantly with his bat in IPL 2026. But he could not repeat this performance in the last match of the league stage. To secure a place in the playoffs, Rajasthan’s top order failed in its last league match against Mumbai Indians and the most flop was 15-year-old opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who was out after scoring only 4 runs. He was dismissed by Mumbai fast bowler Deepak Chahar. In this way, after Mohsin Khan, Deepak Chahar became the second bowler in front of whom Vaibhav failed completely twice in a row.

Rajasthan came to bat first against Mumbai Indians in the 69th match of IPL 2026 on Sunday 24th May at Wankhede Stadium. But like almost every previous match, this time Vaibhav Suryavanshi could not show the power of his bat. On one hand, Yashasvi Jaiswal was scoring runs at a fast pace and on the other hand, Vaibhav was struggling. His luck also did not favor him when he hit a big shot in the first over but Will Jacques stopped the six with excellent fielding.

But Jaiswal was out in the third over and then Jaiswal was also out on the very first ball of the fourth over. In this innings, Vaibhav’s shot on his very first ball could not go for 6 runs. His restlessness was visible in his batting. This was the reason that Vaibhav tried to play a big shot on Chahar’s first ball in the fourth over but he missed the pace and the ball rose high in the air, which was caught in the 30 yard circle itself. In this way Vaibhav was out after scoring only 4 runs in 6 balls.

This was not the first time that Deepak Chahar has taken the wicket of Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Last season too, Chahar had dismissed Suryavanshi in the match between Mumbai and Rajasthan. Then Vaibhav returned to the pavilion without opening his account in just 2 balls. In this match, Vaibhav faced 3 balls of Chahar and scored only 2 runs. In this way, Vaibhav could score only 2 runs in 5 balls against Chahar and was out 2 times.

But Chahar is not the only bowler who has controlled this explosive batsman. Apart from Chahar, Lucknow Super Giants’ left arm fast bowler Mohsin Khan has also troubled Vaibhav. In the current IPL season itself, in the two matches of Lucknow and Rajasthan, it was Mohsin who dismissed Vaibhav both times. In these two matches, Vaibhav faced 12 balls of Mohsin and scored only 2 runs, while losing wickets twice. In this way, Vaibhav has proved unsuccessful against Chahar and Mohsin and has been out 4 times after scoring only 4 runs in his 17 balls.
