IPL 2026 MI vs CSK: In the 33rd match of IPL 2026, Chennai Super Kings defeated Mumbai Indians by a huge margin at the Wankhede Stadium. Mumbai won the toss and decided to bowl first, but their entire team disintegrated in front of Chennai’s stormy batting and then excellent bowling. CSK made a strong score of 207 in 20 overs and restricted Mumbai to just 104 runs in 19 overs. With this, Chennai won by 103 runs. This is the third win of Chennai Super Kings this season.
Sanju Samson’s stormy innings
Sanju Samson was the hero of Chennai’s innings. He scored unbeaten 101 runs in just 54 balls, which included 10 fours and 6 sixes. During this period his strike rate was more than 187. Sanju played one shot after another and beat the Mumbai bowlers badly. Apart from this, Rituraj Gaikwad scored 22 runs, Dewald Brevis scored 21 runs and Karthik Sharma scored 18 runs. The team made a fast start in the powerplay itself and maintained the run rate even in the middle overs, due to which CSK managed to score 207 runs.
Mumbai’s scattered batting
In response to this big target, Mumbai had a very bad start. The team got into trouble by losing 3 wickets in the power play itself. Tilak Verma tried to fight by scoring 37 runs and Suryakumar Yadav tried to score 35 runs, but both these batsmen could not do anything special. Due to which the entire team was all out for 104 runs in 19 overs.
Akil Hussain- Noor Ahmed’s amazing work
Akil Hussain and Noor Ahmed performed brilliantly in Chennai’s bowling. Akil Hussain took 4 wickets for just 17 runs in 4 overs. His lethal spin bowling completely broke Mumbai’s batting. Whereas, Noor Ahmed took 2 wickets in his name. Apart from these, Mukesh Chaudhary, Anshul Kamboj, Jamie Overton and Gurjapneet Singh got 1 success each.
