
A review meeting was held today in Bastar Collectorate Hall ‘Prerna’ under the chairmanship of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. In the meeting, Chief Minister Sai discussed the progress of many schemes and instructed the officers to fulfill the targets set, ensuring smooth implementation of beneficial schemes. Chief Minister Sai said that the journey of development of Bastar does not stop, demands constant speed.
Chief Minister Sai said that Bastar is no longer a symbol of backwardness, it is becoming an entrance to the possibilities of new India. Every village here, every family is connected to the mainstream of development- this is our goal. Schemes like Ayushman, Aadhaar, housing and electrification are not only government projects, but the dignity and security of the common people.
Talks on development of Bastar division in meeting
Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that today’s meeting was very useful and there was a thorough discussion about the development of Bastar division, peace and progress of schemes. It is satisfied to see that the team of governance and administration in Bastar division looks young, energetic and committed. The presence of district collectors, police superintendents and all officers prove that we are all serious about development and committed to peace installation in Bastar.
In the meeting, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai directed that the government is working with full power and dedication to eradicate Naxalism. With the cooperation of the central government, the work of eradication of Naxalite in the state is moving at a rapid pace and this target is resolved to complete by 31 March 2026. Working with the courage, dedication and strategy of our security forces is a big achievement in this direction.
Reach medicines to health centers
The Chief Minister said that the education session is going to start. He instructed to make the process of caste certificate timed and simplified so that children do not face any difficulty. He said that there is a possibility of diseases during the summer and rainy season, in such a situation, keep the availability of medicines and medical arrangements at CSC level and health centers. He said that special attention needs to be paid to the establishment of industry in Bastar.
He said that giving priority to Scheduled Castes, women and local youth, such provisions have been made in the industry policy so that local people can be carried forward towards employment and self -reliance. He said that efforts are being made to complete incomplete schemes in Bastar soon and work is in progress to start regular flights from Jagdalpur Airport. Other infrastructure projects including national highways are also being accelerated.
Benefits of schemes reach everyone
The Chief Minister said that there is a need to reach the last person without any obstruction. Being a tribal dominated area, it becomes even more important that we prioritize personal profit -based schemes and empower each family financially. Many times services like Aadhaar, ration, banking are interrupted due to mobile network problems. After coordinating with the concerned agencies, it will be resolved soon.
He said that availability of mobile networks and communication equipment will be ensured in remote areas. He gave instructions regarding strengthening the transport system. He said that there is a need to run regular buses in rural areas so that the public can get the means of safe and accessible traffic.
Chief Minister Sai said that public participation in cultural activities like Bastar Olympics and Bastar Pandum is proof that people want to join development and get away from the ideology of Naxalism. We have to further strengthen this belief. He directed the officials to take the complaints of public representatives seriously, respect them, and listen to them patiently.
Bastar’s landscape is changing
On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, the entire Bastar is appearing in a different scenario, Bastar is writing the story of progress. This is the result of everyone’s hard work. Taking care of the need for Bastar, there is a need to formulate an action plan. He instructed to complete all the construction works within the time period. He said that construction work should be completed before the rain.
During the meeting, Bastar Division Commissioner Doman Singh presented the development works done in the area. He informed that 87.24 percent achievement has been recorded under Ayushman Bharat Scheme and 96.37 percent in Aadhaar card construction. The Chief Minister directed to run a special campaign for 100 % target supply in Ayushman Card and Aadhaar card.
It was informed in the meeting that so far 95.89 percent of the houses have reached electricity. 91.55 percent target has been achieved in Kisan Credit Card Scheme. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, 82.88 percent farmers are getting benefit. 90.79 percent eligible beneficiaries are registered in Jan Dhan accounts.
